Chakravartin Ashok Samrat - A Historical Treat
Colors Tv has added another feather to it's cap with it's new offering "Chakravartin Ashok Samrat".
The show attempts to delve in the pages of Indian History to explore and project the Maurya Dynasty on the small screen. It attempts to depict the heroic life of a young boy Ashok who becomes the undisputed king of the Maurya Dynasty further taking up Buddhism to follow the path of peace.
With a combination of a marvelous set, high end VFX technology and a stellar star cast the show has managed to garner a considerable fan following in just no time.
Stepping into the role of Samrat Ashok is a young 14 years old boy Sidhrath Nigam who has managed to successfully enact his role with his confident acting along with some spectacular stunts. Sidharth has previously proved himself as an actor in the movie Dhoom 3 and the TV show Mahakumbh.
Veteran actor Manoj Joshi who plays the role of the most important historical character Chanakya as added another feather to the cap with his superlative acting.
Currently, the story is going through an emotional phase where Ashok has lost his mother but refuses to accept the truth. He moves out of Patli Putra in search of his mother. Whereas Samrat Bindusar who is guilty of not being able to protect Ashok's mother promises to become Ashok's guardian. Ashok is unaware of the truth of Samrat Bindusar being his biological father. Samrat Bindusarr is also oblivious of the reality.
